Presenting the Tool Creative Community Coaching upon Invitation of the German Government
Author: Gertraud Leimüller
The demand for innovation in education is growing: invited by the Competence Center for Cultural- and Creative Industries of the German government, Getraud Leimüller introduced her innovative educational tool C hoch 3 (creative community coaching). The tool has been developed together with Marie-Therese Zirm since 2007. The trigger was the realization that many offers for further education are not attractive for young, well-educated adults.
C hoch 3 embarks on a different mission: it’s a peer-to-peer coaching concept in groups of 20 people, accompanied by experienced supervisors. Instead of following a pre-defined curriculum, participants are able to generate their own content. This results in steep learning curves and produces openness because taboo topics that are relevant for personal development are also addressed.
In Austria, several hundred entrepreneurs in creative industries have already completed the C hoch 3 training course. They are still connected and benefit from an active Alumni Network. The programme has been run successfully since 2008 and was initiated by creative wirtschaft austria. German participants of the workshop „developing competences for cultural- and creativ industries“ were curious about the topic and eager to apply the Austrian format in their own realities.
