Mastering New Business Development successfully with the help of Open Innovation: Seminar for top managers
AUTHOR: Elisabeth Gumpenberger
There is a great deal to learn from Austrian-based companies – especially in regard to Open Innovation and New Business Development. A few weeks ago, 12 high-ranked managers of a big corporation from the Middle East travelled to Vienna to experience this first-hand. During a tailor-made three-day workshop led by winnovation, they learned how to recognize and realize new business opportunities with the help of Open Innovation methods. Numerous discussions were held with company representatives, namely Schindler, Siemens, Philips, ÖBB, New Venture Scouting und Vienna University of Economics and Business. These renowned companies and research institutions provided the workshop participants with the opportunity to immerse themselves in practical examples for Open Innovation and New Business Development and to learn from other companies’ success stories and failures – an opportunity that the usual seminars and trainings do not offer. Furthermore, winnovation’s team of experts have always translated the lessons learned into subject-specific context of Open Innovation and facilitated the deduction of important insights and conclusions for the workshop participants’ corporate context.
At the end of the workshop, the positive atmosphere was palpable in the room. Now it is time for the workshop participants to apply what they have learned in their own company and to make Open Innovation come to life. We greatly look forward to supporting them in their future!
