Marion Poetz named Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum Davos

Marion Poetz, chair of the winnovation Academic Advisory Board and Assistant Professor at the Copenhagen Business School has been named a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum Davos in March 2014. The international network of young, top-class leaders in business, academia, NGOs and governmental organizations aims at providing a platform for mutual learning and wants to translate individual success into global significance. Poetz: „I feel very honored to be part of the Young Global Leader’s group. I look forward to the intercultural network of global change makers in order to implement future-oriented and sustainable projects for people.“

The elite YGL-network comprises 900 members from all parts of the world under the age of 41; amongst others Larry Page, CEO of Google, or Marissa Mayer, CEO of Yahoo.

Marion Poetz succeeds as the 6th Austrian member distinguished personalities of academia and business such as Josef Penninger, geneticist and Founding Director of IMBA, Institute of Molecular Biology of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, and Werner Wutscher, entrepreneur (New Venture Scouting) and Austrian Business Angel of the Year 2012.
