Austrian Open Innovation Strategy – public consultation process until March 7th 2016
AUTHOR: SILVIA WASSERBACHER-SCHWARZER
As one of the first countries in the world, Austria is developing a national Open Innovation Strategy in order to adapt to the challenges of our modern world: The increasing speed of technological change requires novel solutions far beyond classical innovation models. Contemporary research, technology and innovation processes need to take into account dynamic changes in markets and societies.
winnovation is proud be in charge of supporting the process of developing the Open Innovation Strategy and its 15 concrete measures. The process is commissioned by the federal government and coordinated by two federal ministries, the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) and the Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT).
Currently, the first core elements, namely a vision for Austria in the year 2025 and 15 concrete measures that have been co-created with stakeholders and citizens, are under public consultation until March 7th 2016 at www.openinnovation.at.
The official process is conducted in German. Thus, winnovation is happy to provide an English translation of the text for all interested, non-German-speaking stakeholders (please see the PDF: Open Innovation Strategy for Austria_ENG). The text consists of three parts:
- Introduction to the Austrian Open Innovation Strategy
- Open Innovation in Austria: Vision for 2025
- 15 Concrete Measures: How to foster Open Innovation in Austria
